Many people can disagree with the death penalty because its immoral and because its against the law. If a person murders another person they will only get years in jail, but if the person murders a celebrity then they are most likely to get the death penalty. The only difference between a celebrity and a regular person is that the celebrity has talent. The death penalty is an immoral thing to do because nobody should have the power to say who gets to live and who gets to die. People make mistakes all the time and although a simple sorry won’t make the crime committed better, when the time comes for them to be face to face with death, the person who victimized will reflect on his bad deeds on his own, without the influence of being threatened by their life being taken away. Its against the law to kill someone so why would giving the death penalty to someone be any different? To conclude, the death penalty is just another way for the government to get away with murder.
